Swede Fest Film Festival
Swede Fest is an annual film festival made up of "sweded" films. Derived from the Michel Gondry film BE KIND REWIND, a "sweded" film is a low-budget remake of a big Hollywood movie using your friends and a lot of creativity. Noticing that there tons of film lovers in my vicinity but lacking a way to connect with each other, I started this film festival in 2008 as an attempt to help grow the filmmaking community in Fresno. Last year we held our 17th festival at the historic Tower Theater and had around 500 people attend the free, all-ages event with over 25 entries screened. We try to get unique designers for each festival but I have designed multiple identities for the event over the years, a few examples of which you can see below.
Promotional Designs
The idea for the promotional materials was to have different artists create the event each time, each one having a unique creative eye on the event. Over the years, I had the chance to produce some of the poster & handbill designs for the event.
100% not approved by that furniture store we all love that sells some decent meatballs. We teamed up with a local silkscreen shop to do a low-run print of the shirt to be sold at the event. They were sold out before the end of the show.
